How to use (see You Tube clip for visual representation):
•    Apply a layer of shaving foam on the horizontal surface of the dry Razor Pit
•    Press the blade of the razor down onto the soft surface. This must be done with a constant pressure onto the silicone-surface.
•    Then push the razor against the conventional shaving direction while maintaining the pressure on the silicone-surface. This will ensure contact between the ‘mat’ and the blades, thereby cleansing the dirt and residue of the surface.
•    Push the razor over the mat 3 to 4 times.
•    Rinse both Razor Pit and razor under running water
•    Place the razor in the Razor Pit, blade-side up

This quick and easy procedure will remove the dirt, residue and particles left on the blade after a shave, and all without damaging the blade itself.

Note:
The best result will be reached, when the soft surface of your Razor Pit is completely dry before the shaving-foam or gel is applied. If a gel is used as opposed to foam, this must be massaged into a foam before commencing the cleaning process, since the gel otherwise can be troublesome out through the blades of the razor.
